  Visited this restaurant yesterday during our Sunday morning cycle ride. This was once known as a cycle friendly cafe, but rumour has it on the cycle circuit, this all changed when the new manager came along.
  
  The young ladies who work in this place are all lovely, hard working and excellent at customer service; but this alas is all undone by their manager's poor unprofessional attitude that could be described as rude, abrupt and abrasive at best.
  
  The manager undermined her employees in front of customers, having a go at them rather then helping them out. She then had a go at her customers; including telling one person who had ordered jam with their tea cake rather then butter (not everyone can eat dairy!), that they should simply remove the butter from the plate (despite there being an extra charge for jam).
  
  Whilst I understand that mother nature's elements can make us determined cyclists sport the drowned rat look at times; we are conscious of this and there really is no need to greet cyclists on arrival by huffing, glaring, and loudly announcing that muddy bums require a plastic bag on the seat when it is beautiful sunshine outside (fyi the young ladies have a nice system in operation involving a roll of plastic aprons under the till for such conditions.)
  
  If you wish to witness how management is not to be done this could be a good spot for some first hand observations. I am grateful I am privy to different management styles in my job!
  
  Otherwise a crafty guess at how to avoid her depending on her shifts may be an option, although I wouldn't fancy misjudging her shift pattern and cycling a lumpy 40mile round trip without a top up of tea and cake ;)
  
  Alternatively miracles may occur and she may have taken on board our verbal feedback.... Or read this and reflect thoughtfully.
